Grams, moong and masoor prices were higher on the wholesale grain market on Thursday as supply position from upcountry centres was a little bit tight, dealers said.
On the cereals side, moong Punjab was up by Rs 250 to Rs 6500, masoor Canada was quoted higher at Rs 4800-5000, wheat old and new Bardan, however, shed Rs 10 to Rs 2680-2695, other items retained the overnight levels in process of modest trading, they added.
On the grams side, grams Australia No 1 gained Rs 250 to Rs 4600-4800, grams Australia No 1 dal posted fresh gain of Rs 200 to Rs 5600-5800, grams 50x50 followed same pattern and gained the same amount to Rs 5300-5500, yellow peas Canada rose by Rs 100 to Rs 3850-4050, yellow peas dal Canada picked up the same amount to Rs 4250-4450, yellow peas Ukraine rose the same amount to Rs 3650-3850 and yellow peas Ukraine dal also picked up equal amount to Rs 4150-4350, they said. On the seed side, cottonseed oilcake with bag low type Sindh was higher by Rs 50 to Rs 850 and best quality, however, fell by Rs 25 to Rs 900, they said.
