Prices move up in thin trade on grain market

Rising trend was seen on the wholesale grain market on Wednesday in process of thin trading, dealers said. On the cereal side, wheat old and new Bardan was higher by Rs 10 to Rs 2690-2705, other items did not move any side due to lack of interest on the part of leading purchasers, they added.
On the rice counter Irri-6 Sind low type gained Rs 25 to Rs 3150 and best type rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3250, other varieties retained overnight levels in slow business, they said. Only one change was seen on the seed side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh, low type, however, lost Rs 50 to Rs 800 and good quality was lower by Rs 75 to Rs 925, they said.
