Child emergency of SGRH without medicines

The Children Emergency Department of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital is running without medicines, patients complained here on Sunday. Over 200 children including infants visit the hospital department daily. After check-up, doctors on duty hand over the prescription to patients with directions to buy medicines from bazaars, people told APP here.
When contacted, officials of the department said medicines are not available. It may be mentioned that health department officials, including its secretary, are never tired of making claims to provide free treatment at emergency departments of public sector hospitals in the province.
