The recent utterances of Punjab Chief Minister at a rally against President of Pakistan in Lahore and its strong reaction by leaders and workers of PPP Sindh attacking Muslim League leaders and workers and putting on fire their houses and offices, is rather very undemocratic, uncivilised and a blot on the face of democracy. Even after passing of 64 years of independence our politicians and their workers have not learnt a lesson. The very basic principle of democracy is tolerance.
When our leaders do not have the spirit and courage to tolerate each other how they can run the country in a democratic way. The result is anarchy. Our country is already drifting towards anarchy very fast and if this trend is not stopped forthwith, we will become a failed state very soon. It was due to intolerance that we lost half the portion of our country and now whatever remaining portion is left, our politicians do not stop fighting each other, then there is a strong apprehension among the people that we may suffer further division of our country resulting in small states just like the Arabs in the Middle East.
