Administrator Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Muhammad Hussain Syed has invited the Korean firms to invest in the city's development projects and assured them of the government's complete co-operation. He extended the invitation during his meeting with the Ambassador of Republic of Korea Choong Joo Choi who along with the Korean Consul General in Karachi In Ki Lee called on the KMC Administrator in his office on Friday.
Hussain Syed said that investment by foreign firms in Karachi especially in the field of solid waste management, transport and infrastructure development would be encouraged.
He said that measures taken by the government had brought improvement in the law and order conditions of the city and this would get even better in future. He said that presently citizens of Karachi were having difficulties due to shortage of public transport and lack of any mass transit system while solid waste management also had been a problem in Karachi.
He added that the government was trying to overcome these problems with the co-ordination of international firms including JICA. The City Administrator invited the Korean firms to invest in Karachi's development projects and assured them that the government would provide all possible help and co-operation to the investors.-PR
