Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief, Aasiya Andrabi and other Hurriyet leaders have strongly condemned the arrest of youth and use of brute force against protesters and journalists by Indian police in occupied Srinagar.
Aasiya Andrabi in a statement issued in occupied Srinagar said that several innocent school children who were either coming from or going to the examination centres were roughed up by the police and taken into custody without any reason, Kashmir Media Service reported.
She deplored that on one hand, the puppet Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah was talking about repeal of black law, Armed Forces Special Powers Act, while on the other, he had given a freehand to police to perpetrate atrocities on civilians.
The Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Yasmeen Raja and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt in their separate statements also denounced in strong terms the use of force on peaceful protesters and journalists.
