The President Azad & Jammu Kashmir, Sardar Yaqoob Khan, has insulted Kashmiris as he favoured the decision of granting Most Favored Nation (MFN) status to India. He is selling the blood of thousands of Kashmiri martyrs and opposes MFN to India in Kashmir but favours the same outside Kashmir.
This was stated by spokesman for Muslim Conference on the statement of President AJK in which he favoured the decision of granting MFN status to India. Spokesman for Muslim Conference said that former Prime Minster AJK, Sardar Atiq, had advised the PM Gilani to enter in relations with India after much deliberation and according to the reaction of the neighbouring country. However, he said, government policies are unfortunately not reflecting the stance of people, hence, provoking panic and chaos in the nation.
He said "granting MFN status to India means we have gifted Pakistani economy to India. Any trade relation with India should be associated with permanent solution of Kashmir".
He said that Kashmiris have not been taken on board while granting MFN to India neglecting the sacrifice of 0.6 million Kashmiri lives. Muslim Conference never objected dialogue or trade with India, however, Kashmir, Kishanganga Dam, Wullar Barrage, Sir Creek and other issues demand more importance than trade ties, he added.
The spokesman said that Sardar Atiq had clarified that India also wants to solve the issues urgently so why the PPP government is bent on promoting trade with India without solving urgent issues. He mentioned that India has smartly placed Non-Tariff barriers (NTBs) to restrict Pakistani products in India even though it granted MFN status to Pakistan in 1996.
He said that if India is also willing to solve the issues, Pakistan should dialogue with India on the issue of Kashmir with first priority. India may enter its army in Pakistan after weakening the Pakistani economy and India also wants to capture Pakistani economy through establishing an Indian bank in Pakistan.
The spokesman reacted that the President AJK is not representing Kashmiri people but Indian stance. India has stopped rivers' water of Pakistan and made Pakistani agricultural lands barren. India is Pakistan's enemy.
