ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Monday submitted its reply in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and requested the court to vacate stay order against proceedings in Ishaq Dar's reference by an accountability court.

NAB, in its reply submitted through prosecutor Imran Shafiq, took the plea that Dar was not entitled to submit his reply through a representative. He had been declared a proclaimed offender by the accountability court in accordance with law and all legal procedures had been followed for confiscation of his property. It said it was necessary for a proclaimed offender to surrender before court to seek relief.

The NAB reply read that while in trial Dar could not be given extra rights other than common citizens. As per law criminal proceedings against an accused could not be stayed, he added.

It also said that Dar was not suffering from any heart disease according to the medical report.
