BUCHAREST: Romania's current account deficit rose to 5.6 billion euros ($6.87 billion) in the first 11 months compared with a shortfall of 2.9 billion euros in the same period of 2016, central bank data showed on Monday.
Foreign direct investment stood at 4.4 billion euros, up from 3.6 billion in January-November 2016, and long-term external debt was 69.4 billion euros at the end of November, down 0.4 percent from the end of 2016.
