Education Minister takes notice of early fees collection by private schools

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar while taking serious notice of early recovery of June and July tuition fees by private schools, has asked the Director General Private Institutions to intervene into the matter and resolve it so that parents may feel relax.

This he said while talking to DG Private Institutions Dr. Mansoob Siddiqui, said a statement on Wednesday.

He said that it had come into his notice that private schools had started recovery of summer vacations fees in advance and parents were feeling hardship in this regard.

Dr. Siddiqui informed the Minister that private schools might collect June / July fees before commencement of the summer vacations but they must consider the problems of the parents as well, adding that however private schools are entitled to collect tuition fees till March from the students who are appearing in matric exams this year.

Jam Mehtab assured the parents and the students that the department would keep their interest as top priority and also asked the management of private schools to provide relief to the parents.
