ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court has beefed up its security arrangements ahead of hearing on memo issue case, which is being heard by a larger bench on Monday.
A nine-member Bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will resume hearing of constitution petitions moved under Article 184(3) of the Constitution regarding alleged memo.
According to a press release for proper Court decorum and smooth functioning of the Court room no:
1, special measures have been taken in regard to security of the court on Monday. Entry into Court Room No. 1 would only be allowed to the litigants and their counsel whose cases are fixed before the bench subject to the availability of space.
Entry into Court building will be allowed after checking-frisking and searching of bags-purses etc. No cell phone would be allowed in the court.
"We expect all concerned to follow the instructions and cooperate with the security staff on duty in the Court premises. The security personnel have been directed to deal with the litigants and their counsel with courtesy, dignity and in a decent and civilized manner," the press statement said.
