Business on the domestic commodities market was limited to two days ahead of the unusual prolonged holidays. Nominal business was seen on Monday owing to sellers and buyers both in holiday mood. However, on the seed side cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type conceded Rs. 20 to Rs. 1140, while the better type lost Rs. 5 to 1165 due to steady arrivals.
On the cereal side gur low type stayed put at Rs. 7006, while the other type conceded Rs. 200 to Rs. 8500. On Tuesday trading was sluggish in pre-Eid holiday sessions. On the cereal side makai low type maintained overnight level at Rs 2125 and good type was higher by Rs 261 at Rs 2436. Wheat old Bardan and wheat new Bardan was up by Rs 10 to Rs 2570 and 2585, other items retained the overnight levels. On the seed side cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type shed Rs 20 to Rs 1150 and best type was lower by Rs 30 to Rs 1160. Rates on the rice and grams sectors did not show any change during the day.
