Anti-encroachment operation to improve water network

A big anti-encroachments operation would be launched soon to erase illegal constructions erected on water lines and nallahs in the limits of Shah Faisal Town, said Administrator Shah Faisal Town, Kamal Mustafa. He said this while inspecting arrangements to handle situation likely to arise due to expected rain during visits to different union councils in the town, said a statement issued here on Saturday.
Use of illegal means to get water supply and sewerage connections be avoided because it affects the system as well as creates hindrance in smooth supply of drinking water, he said. He called upon the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB) to take legal action against illegal water connections to provide relief to the people.
He also advised the masses to contact the departments concerned for resolution of their problems with regard to water supply and sewerage system. Officials concerned of the Water Board and heads of various wings of the town administration were also present on the occasion.
