Home Department denies Allegations: release of target killers on minister's order

The Home Department has denied some media reports regarding release of target killers from police custody allegedly on instructions of Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik. An official handout issued on Saturday said a section of press/media had attributed certain allegations regarding release of target killers from police custody on instructions of Interior Minister.
"The police department in its reports has categorically denied that any target killer or criminal has been released on directive or instructions of Minister for Interior. The allegations are incorrect and without any basis," it stated.
