Activity at Port Qasim's activities

A cargo volume of 80,489 tonnes, comprising 71,989 tonnes of import cargo and 8,500 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 1,393 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 71,989 tonnes includes 30,955 tonnes of furnace oil; 15,700 tonnes of palm oil; 635 tonnes of fertiliser; 8,457 tonnes of paraxylene and 16,242 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo includes 8,500 tonnes of containerised cargo. MT Pacific Energy sailed out to sea on Saturday morning. A total number of nine vessels MV Sapphire-II, MV Loanthi, MV Tycon-II, MV MN Henry, MV NYK Kia, MV Libra Ipanaema, MT Bunga Akasia, MT Pacific Energy and MT Gem of Dahej are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, palm oil, fertiliser, patraxylene, furnace oil and containers respectively during last 24 hours.
Six ships namely New Challenge, Al-Salam-II, Agility, MT Quetta, Mohammad Prince and Sichem Pace carrying diesel oil, palm oil, fuel oil, cement and chemicals respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of two vessels viz MT Quetta and MT Sichem Pace carrying fuel oil and chemicals respectively are expected to take berths at FOTCO Oil Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Saturday.
