A delegation comprising members of All Jawaki Peace Committee Darra Adamkhel called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Masood Kausar at Governor House, here on Tuesday. The delegation led by Said Amn President Peace Committee and other members informed the Governor about the situation in the area and efforts of the Peace Committee for maintenance of peace and purging the area of the unwanted elements and miscreants.
They also highlighted other problems mostly relating to the provision of social services and facilities in some particular sectors. The Governor while talking to the delegation appreciated the role, efforts and sacrifices of Peace Committees and Lashkars in FATA saying that their courage and valour in confronting the militant and miscreants were all praise-worthy.
In fact, he added it was because of the co-operation and support of the local tribesmen that our law enforcement Agencies successfully crushed the militants and other anti-state elements. The Governor said that the government was aiming at the real development in FATA but that objective could only be achieved when peace had been prevailed. However, the Governor said that they would move forward side by side in both the fields towards peace and progress simultaneously.
