Customs seizes 75kg of heroin at Karachi Airport

Drug Enforcement Cell (DEC) of Customs on Sunday seized around 75kgs heroin from luggage of a passenger at Jinnah International Airport. According to details, the Customs DEC staff intercepted a passenger, Ghulam Muhammd, who was going to Dhaka.
A thorough search of his luggage resulted in the recovery of 75kgs of heroin. The drug was concealed in medicine boxes. Consequent upon recovery and seizure of contraband item, a prosecution case under Control of Narcotics Substances Act, 1997, is going to be registered and efforts are afoot to apprehend the mafia involved in the offence.-PR
