Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan has declared the result of BA/BSc annual examination 2011 on Sunday. According to the notification all the top positions were annexed by the girls and they all belong to private school except a student Shaista Malik of Government College for Women Chungi No.6 Multan.
Iffat Fida Hussain, Habiba Siddique of Punjab College Multan stood first and second by securing 742 and 720 marks in BSc respectively.
Iqra Riaz of Central College stood third by obtaining 707 marks, Zoya Zafar of Government College Jalalpur pirwala, Shaista Malik of Government College Chungi No.6 (Multan) and Wardah Bashir of Government College Jalalpur Pirwala stood first, second and third by securing 666, 648 and 645 marks respectively. Zakariya University Controller of Examinations briefed the newsmen that total 17,148 out of 45,189 candidates were declared successful achieving the pass percentage of 37.95. Of them 7,067 candidates got first division, 9,137 got second and 724 third division.
He said that total 37,673 candidates appeared in BA, of them 13,556 were declared successful making pass percentage of 35.98. Similarly 3,592 out of 7,516 candidates were declared successful in BSc of them 1,422 got first division, 1,779 got second division and 262 third division. Prizes were distributed among the toppers.
