Most parts of the country, especially plains of Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan remained under the grip of severe hot and humid weather for the third consecutive day as mercury rose to above 40 degree Celsius in these areas. Met office said, here on Tuesday, that weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country and there was no rains anywhere, while Monday's weak trough of westerly wave over northern parts of the country now lies over Kashmir & adjoining areas.
Seasonal low lies over Northwest Balochistan whereas weak moist current from Arabian Sea is penetrating Punjab up-to 3,000 feet. It said that in Lahore, maximum temperature rose to 41.0C and minimum was recorded 30.1 centigrade, relative humidity in the morning was 58 percent and 42 percentage in the evening. Highest temperature in the country was recorded in Dalbandin=46°C, and minimum 10.3 C was recorded in Astore.
The met office predicted mainly hot & humid weather in most parts of the country on Wednesday (today). However, isolated rain/thundershower is expected in Islamabad/ Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions, Kashmir and adjoining areas. It said mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country during next 48 hours. However, isolated rain/thundershower may occur in upper parts of the country.
