Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Tuesday said that the leadership of all political forces in the country had been taken into confidence on the dialogue process with India. "I personally called up PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif, PML-Q Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Governor Sindh Ishrat ul Ibad, PTI Chief Imran Khan, Maulana Fazal- Ur-Rehman, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, and the Fata leader Munir Khan Aurakzai", he said during a meeting with Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar at the State Guest House.
The Premier said the political leadership had reposed confidence in the initiation of dialogue process with India and assured its support and co-operation in this regard. He said he also telephoned JI, ANP and PML-F leadership to take them on board on the Pak-India dialogue process but they could not be contacted immediately.
Gilani asked the Foreign Minister to open sustainable, constructive dialogue process with all the neighbouring countries in the region for durable peace. Earlier, Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar briefed prime minister on her meeting with the JKLF leadership as well as her upcoming ministerial meeting with her Indian counterpart S M Krishna.
The Pakistani delegation, he mentioned, is led by Ms Hina Rabbani Khar, Minister for Foreign Affairs. Other members of the delegation are Salman Bashir, Foreign Secretary and other concerned officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The dialogue, he said, would cover all aspects and issues between the two countries including the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir.-PR
