Elimination of poverty: Punjab government implementing comprehensive programme

Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mushood Ahmed Khan has expressed concern over country's economic situation and said that escalating price-hike had rendered lives of countrymen miserable.
He said this while addressing a delegation of NGO-Home Net in the Punjab Assembly on Saturday. Talking to the delegation members, Rana said the Punjab government is implementing a comprehensive programme for the elimination of poverty and unemployment from the province and solid measures have been taken in the new budget for generating maximum job opportunities for educated youth.
He also said the Punjab government is taking steps for promotion of health and education sectors and revolutionary measures have been taken by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. He lauded the role of NGOs in social welfare activities and said that NGOs did praise worthy job in natural disasters. He also apprised the members of the delegation about working of Punjab Assembly.
