Member Finance Committee PPP Punjab, Samiullah Khan Durrani has urged the federal finance minister to withdraw 16 percent sales tax on the brick kiln sector. He said the construction sector is already under pressure due to slow economic growth and imposition of 16 percent sales tax would be like stabbing in the back of kiln workers. According to him, an early withdrawal of the tax would save the construction industry from further collapse.
