FBISE announces results of SSC annual exams

Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Friday announced the result of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examination with a pass percentage of 79.94. According to notification issued by the FBISE, 67 unfair means cases were reported of which 66 have been decided, however, one case is under process.
According to the result, 61,015 candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 48,773 candidates were declared pass in all papers. Girls, once again outclassed boys in the SSC annual examination 2011 by securing majority of top positions.
A total of 39,140 regular students appeared in the science group out of which 36,241 succeeded with pass percentage of 92.59 while in Humanities group, a total of 8,247 regular students appeared in the examination out of which 6,488 were declared pass with a percentage of 78.67. In science group, 7,989 ex/private candidates appeared in the examination out of which 3,823 were declared pass in all the papers with a percentage of 47.85 while in Humanities group, 5,639 candidates appeared and 2,221 cleared all the papers with percentage of 39.39.
Arooma Majid of Army Public School for Girls, Lahore Cantt secured first position with 1,022 marks while the second position was shared by Ayesha and Naima Dawood of Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG) I-10/4, Islamabad securing 1021 marks.
Nimra Babar of Islamabad Model College for Girls (IMCG) F-6/2 and Sumbal Wajid of Garrison Academy Kharian Cantt shared third position both securing 1,018 marks. In Humanities group, Saad Jan of Institute of Islamic Science, Islamabad got first position, securing 940 marks while Hajran of Pakistan International School Jeddah Saudi Arabia clinched second position with 937 marks. Waqas Mehmood Abbasi of Institute of Islamic Sciences Islamabad obtained third position with 919 marks. The supplementary examination of SSC 2011 will be held from September 13 and the admission forms along with admission fee can be submitted till July 29 with normal fee. However, the admission forms with double fee can be submitted till August 8.
