Newly-built houses handed over to flood survivors

The army, after rendering valuable services during devastating flood of 2010 in terms of rescue and relief and providing humanitarian assistance to the IDPs, diverted its efforts towards rehabilitation of displaced people who had lost all in flood.
An ISPR press release issued here on Thursday said that a Division located in Hyderabad under 5 Corps Karachi undertook a number of housing projects in flood affected districts of Dadu and Thatta. So far, 64 families of three villages of District Dadu and 270 families of District Thatta have been given newly-constructed houses along-with a number of mosques, schools, Basic Health Units and water supply points.
In continuation of same humanitarian support, Pakistan Army handed over a project of 59 houses, one school, one children park and a mosque to flood affected families at village Katey Jakhran and village Ismail Memon of District Thatta and another complex of 19 houses one mosque, a boys school and four water supply points at village Abdullah Pusio of District Dadu on Thursday.
