The meeting of Pesticide subcommittee, constituted by the Punjab government under the directives of the Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, will be held at Commissioner Office Multan on Tuesday to review the ongoing move against eradication of fake and spurious pesticides and fertilisers from the province.
Parliamentary Secretary Agriculture and Convenor Pesticides Sub Committee Mian Asif Manzoor Mohal will chair the meeting being convened to seek proposals from the stakeholders to make the on going move against fake fertilisers and pesticides a success.
The meeting will also review the amendments proposed in the Punjab Agriculture Pesticides Ordinance 1971 and approval will be accorded by the participants of the meeting.
The meeting will be attended by the members of the pesticide subcommittee Asghar Ali Manda, Ijaz Ahmad Ijlana, Irfan Ahmad Gujjar, Shahid Hussein Bhatti, Dr Noor Ul Islam Director General (Pest Warning), Dr Anjum Ali Buttar (Director General Extension) Khurram Ali Agha Commissioner Multan Division, representatives of Croplife Pakistan and Pakistan Crop Protection Association, farmers organisations, pesticide dealers and other stakeholders.
