107 successful candidates of SPSC to move SHC

107 successful candidates of DDOs and SOs have decided to knock the door of Sindh High Court (SHC) for provision of justice, Business Recorder learnt. Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) had declared 107 candidates successful on 26th January 2011 along with other 4 candidates of District Food Controllers (DFCs), 6 of labour Officers (LOs), 4 of Assistant Directors (Labour department) and 4 of Assistant Registrars (ARs) of Co-operative Housing Societies.
Sindh government has not issued offer orders to 107 successful candidates of Deputy District Officers Revenue (DDOs) and Section Officers (SOs) despite passage of more than 5 months. While, successful candidates of DFCs, LOs, ADs and ARs have been given offer orders soon after the announcement of result by SPSC.
A few days ago, more than 60 qualified-candidates of DDOs and SOs have gathered at a residence of a candidate in Karachi and held a meeting in this regard. Candidates discussed the issue in detail and finally it was decided that Constitutional Petition (CP) would be filed in Sindh High Court through a senior lawyer in order to get the justice.
Some of candidates who are living in Karachi would meet with a Barrister Zamir Ghumro within next couple of days and discuss this matter in detail. It was also decided that before filing CP, they would submit reminder-applications to Sindh Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and Secretary Services. A candidate told Business Recorder on condition of keeping his name secret that our lawyer would serve legal notices to representatives of Sindh government, if they will not respond than CP would be filed in SHC.
He said that all candidates have been struggling for jobs since May 2008, we had qualified hard tests and interviews but we are still waiting for offer orders, which is classical example of injustice. He concluded that now, we will knock the door of Judiciary for justice because Sindh Government made us very much confused in this regard.
It is pertinent to point out here that SPSC had advertised posts of DDOS, SOs, DFCs, ARs, LOs and ADs in May 2008 and written tests were held in March 2009. Result of written test was declared in April 2010. Later, SPSC conducted interviews of written-qualified candidates and result was announced on 26th January 2011 and declared 128 candidates as qualified against 128 posts.
