ROTTERDAM: Soymeal on the European meals and feeds market saw a mild rebound on Thursday on support from a slightly weaker dollar and light gains in CBOT soymeal futures at the close the day before.
"Sentiment remains bearish as the rains in South American are boosting crop prospects. Sellers were not very aggressive just before the Christmas break," one broker said.
South American soymeal was mostly offered between $1 and $3 a tonne higher, tracking last night's steadier CBOT soymeal futures close.
Rapemeal was quoted between unchanged and one euros per tonne down from Wednesday because of lack of demand and as the weaker dollar weighed on euro-priced products.
