Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) will have a chair in its Civil Engineering Department in the name of reputed engineer and founder of Aligarh and Peshawar Engineering Colleges, Baba Muhammad Ubaidullah Durrani. An announcement in this regard was made by the Chancellor Engineer Z. A. Nizami, at Mehfil-e-Durrani" organised in the memory of great engineer, Ubaidullah Durrani, held at the university Campus on the occasion of his death anniversary.
The Mehfil was organised by Nashrah Foundation in collaboration with Sir Syed University and largely attended by the devoted followers of late Durrani who also possessed invisible spiritual qualities. Speaking as chief guest at the occasion, Engr Z A Nizami said that under Ubaidullah Durrani Chair, various subjects including one on solar energy would be offered.
He noted that some devotees of Baba Ubaidullah Durrani had undertaken to establish a university in his name in Karachi and announced all out support for the noble cause. While recalling the spiritual qualities of late Baba Ubaidullah, Niazi referred to his meeting in America with a group of people who were carrying gadgets attached to their hearts meant to determine the affects that are caused when "Mustafa Jan-e-Rehmat pe Lakho Salam", was recited and announced to provide a similar system at Sir Syed University as well.-PR
