A delegation led by Chief Executive Officer of Foton Transport Company Beijing, Perry T. Blackerby called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Saturday and discussed with him regarding co-operation in transport sector. Chairman Transport Company Khawaja Ahmad Hassan and Secretary Transport Cap. Muhammad Yousuf (Retd) were also present during the meeting.
Talking on the occasion, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that provision of best and quality transport facilities to the masses is the priority of the government and solid steps are being taken in this regard. He said that negotiations are going on with various companies for provision of comfortable and reliable transport and Lahore Transport Company has also made an agreement with Foton Transport Company Beijing for getting CNG buses under which this company will provide 111 CNG buses within next few months.
He said that Punjab government is also fully encouraging investment in transport sector. Chairman Lahore Transport Company Khawaja Ahmad Hassan informed about the details of the agreement for getting buses from Foton Transport Company Beijing.
