Welcoming the proposed 15 percent increase in salaries in budget-2011-12, the government employees' have termed that the budget as people and workers friendly. In this connection, Railways Workers Union (CBA), Peshawar chapter held a demonstration in favour of budget-2011-12. Haji Ghulam Haider, Chairman (RWU), Ashfaq Bacha, president, and Qazi Attaullah, vice president along with dozens of workers led the protest.
Talking to the reporters, Ghulam Haider said that the government had presented budget as per expectation of the poor masses and workers. He said that it should take further initiative to contain growing inflation in the country. He viewed that the government had announced 15 percent increase wages under pressure of employees' month long protest campaign carried out under banner of All Pakistan government employees Confederation Union (CBA).
He termed that it was biggest achievement for the labour class to provision of relief them in the budget. He suggested that government should bring reforms to further ease miseries of poverty-stricken masses and workers in the country.
