The Karachi Port handled 113,335 tonnes of cargo including 76,325 tonnes of import cargo, 37,010 tonnes of export cargo and 4,988 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 76,325 tonnes comprised of 42,875 tonnes of containerised cargo; 928 tonnes of bulk cargo and 32,522 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 37,010 tonnes comprised of 16,776 tonnes of containerised cargo; 690 tonnes of general cargo; 18,044 tonnes of bulk cargo and 1,500 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Liquid Platinum, Kassos, Valopoula, Ital Onore and MSC Peggy carrying ethanol, LSFO, DAP and two container ships respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Ten vessels viz MSC Peggy, CSL Ride, OEL Trust, OOCL Charleston, APL Sokhna, TS Jakarta, MT Lahore, Royal Aqua, Al-Sabiyah and Al-Khaliq carrying six container ships, crude oil, two HSD tankers and wheat carrier respectively are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Cathrina and OEL Trust with cement carrier and container ship respectively expected to sail on Saturday, while seven ships namely Kiran Asya, MT Lahore, Al-Sabiyah, CSL Ride, TS Jakarta, APL Sokhna and OOCL Charleston with wheat carrier, crude oil tanker, high speed diesel oil tanker and four container ships are expected to sail on Sunday.
Four vessels viz Ginga Carcel, Hyundai General, Liberty Promise and Genius Star-VII carrying ethanol ship, container ship, vehicles and steel respectively due to arrive on Saturday, while eight vessels viz Pertiwi, Miramis, STI Coral, MOL Komati, Hyundai Discovery, APL Shenzhen, Gulf Safwa and Reis-G carrying chemicals, ethanol ships, mogas, four container ships and wheat carrier respectively are due to arrive on Sunday. Two ships namely Dawoo Diamond and Bunga Raya Lapan carrying ethanol ship and container ship are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 82,172 tonnes of cargo includes 71,292 tonnes of import cargo, 10,880 tonnes of export cargo and 1,769 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 71,292 tonnes includes 50,072 tonnes of furnace oil; 8,300 tonnes of palm oil; 9,821 tonnes of iron ore; 3,099 tonnes of ethylene and 14,187 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 10,880 tonnes includes 9,349 tonnes of wheat; 1,531 tonnes of cement and 18,482 tonnes of containerised cargo. Oil tanker namely MT Ginga Caracal sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely MV Glory is expected to sail on Saturday.
A total number of ten vessels viz MV Glory, MV Bussara Naree, MV Sapphire-II, MV Nahide-M, MV Chang Qaing, MT Olympic Spirit, MT Sigloo Star, MV Gulf Safwa, MT Bunga Aster and MV Ginga Caracal, are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, furnace oil, ethylene and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Five ships namely Alexi-I, Al-Salam-II, Wales-II, Angelia and Thsy Mphony carrying cement, high speed diesel oil, containers and furnace oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of two vessels viz CV Angelia and MV Wales-II carrying containers and cement are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose respectively on Saturday.
