The men handball teams of Tajikistan and Afghanistan were received at Pak-Afghan border Torkham by the officials of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Handball Association on an eight-day tour. Associate Secretary of the Pakistan Handball Federation Bahre Karam along with Secretary Khyber Pakhtukhwa Handball Association Noor Zada other members comprising Yaha Jan, Sajjad Khan, Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah received the two teams.
They also garlanded the two teams and were then taken to University of Peshawar where after a short stay the two teams left for Faisalabad to participate in the forthcoming International Invitational Handball Tournament to be commencing from April 15-17. After participating in the tournament the Tajikistan team would play a match in Rahim Yar Khan on April 19 while Afghanistan will visit Lahore on the same day to play a match at Lahore on April 20 before the two teams arrival to Peshawar on April 21.
The names of the two teams members as under: Afghanistan: Ahmad Shah, Abdulmarof Satari, Abdurahman Shabaze, Syed Abdurahim Ahmied, Muhammad Bashir Afzali, Basir Ahmad Naori, Mohammad Naem Qayumi, Murtaz Mahmoudi, Mohammad Alam Nawrozi, Shafi Tajzada, Mohammad Sabir Safi, Masoud Khawar, Mirwais Bahar, Ahmad Zubair Azizi, Jawid Kahwar, Amin Jan Azami, Nawid Roza Amini and Mohammad Bashir Salimi. Tajikistan: Mahmoudove Said, Imimnazarova Surayo, Obidov Rahmatsho, Iqboishoev Eraj, Imamnazarov Daler, Pulodhekov Barnoibek, Mirzojonvo Same, Barisso Andari, Rahmonove Mirsaid, Mislov Egor, Nekushov Iftikhor, Nuronshoev Asan, Mirzohodiev Mohammad Fareed, Gulobov Behruzi, Iqboishoev Parviz.
