A dinner was hosted in the honour of Pakistan cricket team by Pakistan International Airline (PIA) Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director PIA, Nadeem Khan Yousufzai said PIA has always supported sports in Pakistan and will continue to play its role for its promotion.
Appreciating the performance, he said it was the collective efforts of the entire team that Pakistan reached semi-finals in ICC World Cup 2011. He also commended the bowling performance of Shahid Afridi and wished entire team success in the upcoming matches. On the occasion, the cricket team was awarded PIA (Frequent Flyer) Diamond Cards with 20,000 air miles as a token of appreciation by MD PIA. A shield was also presented to Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board, Ijaz Butt, who thanked PIA and especially Nadeem Yousufzai for inviting the team to the ceremony.
The dinner ceremony was also attended by Pakistan cricket team coach, Waqar Younus, wife of MD PIA, Mrs Zareen Khan Yousufzai, PIA Director Marketing, Imraan Ahmed Khan, Director Human Resources PIA, Shahnawaz Rehman, District Manager PIA Lahore, Noman Munir and other senior officials of PIA, CAA, PCB and notables of Lahore. -PR
