Dr Dewi Motik Pramono, Chairperson National Council of Women's Organisation of Indonesia has said that women have a great role to play in socio - economic development of any country, as their involvement in economic activities help boost the economy.
Indonesia is ready to provide a platform to the business women of Pakistan to promote business between the two countries, Dr Dewi Motik Pramono said while exchanging views with the Acting President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Main Muhammad Ateeq during her visit to the RCCI on Monday.
Dr Dewi Motik Pramono, who is also Vice Chairperson Advisory Board of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that it is need of the hour to endorse women entrepreneurs for the uplift of the country. The women entrepreneurs of both Indonesia and Pakistan have potential to enter into joint ventures, she added.
She said that RCCI is playing vital role for the promotion of businesswomen in the region and there was huge space for women in Pakistan to excel in all fields. She said that Indonesia is keen to enhance bilateral trade with Pakistan and Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry would play its role in this regard. Speaking on the occasion Acting President RCCI Mian Muhammad Ateeq stressed the need for enhancing trade volume between the two countries. Pakistani textile, marble, vegetables and sports goods are very much liked in the trade markets of Indonesia. Both the governments must play their due role to enhance the trade volume between the two countries, he added. He urged for initiation of joint ventures between the business communities of the two countries to promote the business activities in the region.
