Afridi to face Gayle storm in BPL final tonight

Pakistan star all-rounder Shahid Afridi will take on West Indian blaster Chris Gayle at the final of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) tonight (Tuesday).

Afridi, representing the Dhaka Dynamites, will join forces with Bangladesh’s superstar Shakib al Hasan and fellow Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir, against the potent batting line of Rangpur Riders.

Shakib is the tournament's leading wicket-taker with 19 wickets, while Afridi already has two four-wicket hauls.

Meanwhile, the Riders boost one of the most power packed batting lines including Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum and Johnson Charles. Charles hit an unbeaten knock of 105 runs in the second qualifier against the Comilla Victorians.

Earlier, the Afridi powered the Dynamited to the finals after his all round performance against the Victorians, hitting 30 runs and picking up three wickets, the former Pakistan captain was declared the Man of the Match.
