25 huts reduced to ashes

At least 25 huts were turned into ashes in a fire that broke out at the Shanty Town located at Korangi no 2 1/2 on Saturday. The fire that mysteriously broke out on the wee hours of Saturday engulfed some 75 huts and turned 25 of them to ashes. No casualty was reported in the incident, police and fire brigade officials said.
Reacting on the information of unknown caller, the fire brigade department sent three fire tenders on the spot immediately. Fire brigade officials said the fire engulfed around 70 huts completely before they reached to the spot hence they called more tenders for backup.
