Norway jobless rate seen up to 2.7pc in 2012

OSLO: Norway's unemployment rate will rise to 2.7 percent next year before falling back to 2.4 percent in 2013, Norway's labour agency said on Tuesday. "Despite low growth in Europe, unemployment in Norway will remain low next year," Norway's Labour and Welfare Administration said in a statement. The unemployment rate was 2.4 percent in November.

The agency expected the number of those seeking employment to reach 70,000 in 2012 and 65,000 in 2013.
