Capital police arrested nine persons including two proclaimed offenders during special checking in different parts of the city. Police recovered 169 bottles of liquor, 1.250 kg charas, two pistols and other looted items from their possession, said a spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Monday.
SHO of Industrial Area Police Mehboob Ahmed during special checking recovered 156 bottles of liquor and 1.250 kg charas from a car SW-427 in I-8/3 sector. Kohsar Police during routine patrolling nabbed a person and recovered 13 bottles of liquor from his possession. Shehzad Town Police during routine checking stopped a person namely Aashiq Hussain and recovered one pistol (30-bore) from his possession.
Sihala and Koral Police recovered two pistols from Aashir Maseeh and Khursheed respectively while Shalimar Police nabbed two thieves Mukhtar Ahmed and Muhammad Nadeem and recovered huge quantity of stolen items from them. Sihala and CIA Police apprehended one proclaimed offender each during operation against anti-social elements. SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated the efforts of policemen who nabbed the criminals and directed them to further intensify patrolling and vigilance in their respective areas.
