Malik Saad Trust to establish 50 more sports academies

Malik Saad (Shaheed) Memorial Sports Trust has approved proposal for establishment of 50 more sports academies besides entities making the 42 existing entities more efficient and extension of its services to FATA as well.
The approval was given in a meeting of the trust held here at Governor's House with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Masood Kausar in the chair.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor highly eulogised the achievements of the Malik Saad (Shaheed) Memorial Sports Trust in a short span of time in providing opportunities and facilities of sports to youth across the province and FATA and said, "it is indeed a very noble and worth while mission, which deserves our fullest support and appreciation and due patronage will be extended to it at every level".
The Governor who is also the patron of the Trust further said, "keeping in view the pace, with which this trust is taking part in promoting sports facilities, one expects a more significant role in augmenting the ongoing efforts of the government both at the provincial and federal level in achieving the desired goals. "I am personally taking keen interest in promoting sports facilities and am in close touch with both the federal and provincial ministers, Eng. Shaukatullah Khan and Syed Aqil Shah, respectively in this regard", the Governor said.
In FATA, the Governor said, special measures have already been initiated to develop sports and encourage potential sportsmen and he would shortly have a detailed briefing to determine future course of actions of promoting games in the area. It merits a mention here that Barrister Masood Kausar in his present capacity was presiding over the meeting of the Trust for the first time after assuming the office of Governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Meanwhile, the meeting was informed that the trust has already successfully established a network of 42 sports academies in various parts of the province. The trust, they said, has a well furnished office and sufficient amount in its kitty to run its affairs and they have a concrete plan to expand the activities of the trust throughout the province.
