Journalist gunned down in Lyari

A crime reporter of a local daily was shot dead in Lea Market in the limits of Baghdadi Police Station on Saturday, police said. SHO Baghdadi Police Station Saeed Rind said that unidentified armed men riding a bike opened indiscriminate fire on Zaman Khan at Hussain Bahi Ismailjee Road in Lea Market area and fled.
As a result he received bullet injuries and died on the spot. "Zaman Khan, a crime reporter of Daily Extra News had gone to meet his friend Ubaid, a reporter of Daily Mahshar, when he was targeted near the house of Ubaid," SHO said. The victim was a resident of Khadda Market area of Lyari Town. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.
