Islamabad Police arrested six persons from different areas of the city and recovered three pistols, 208 bottles of liquor, caps and badges of police uniform from their possession, said Naeem Iqbal spokesman of Islamabad Police here on Thursday.Reacting on a tip off Koral Police stopped two persons namely Altaf Hussain and Jameel and on search one pistol (30 bore) and caps and badges of police uniform were recovered from them.
Bhara Kahu Police stopped a car (LOB-8666) for search and recovered 193 bottles from it. The car occupant Masood Ahmed was also arrested. Tarnol Police arrested a bootlegger Altaf and recovered 15 wine bottles from him. Separate cases were registered against the detained persons and investigation is underway. SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan has appreciated police performance and asked to intensify efforts against criminals.
