PML-N lawmakers turn against their own party

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmakers announced on Sunday their resignation from public office due to government’s inaction towards Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.
The five PML-N lawmakers announced this during a Khatm-e-Nabuwwat conference organized by Pir Sialvi in Faisalabad. These lawmakers include MNAs Dr Nisar Ahmad Jutt and Ghulam Bibi Bharwana, Punjab MPAs Maulana Rehmatullah, Nizam-ud-Din Sialvi — Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi's son — and Khan Muhammad Baloch, local media reported. They belong to Punjab's Jhang, Chiniot, Faisalabad and Sargodha districts.
During the conference, the agenda of the members was resignation of Sanaullah. The speakers announced that if Sanaullah did not resign, then the next conference would be turned into a sit-in outside Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s house in Lahore, a local media reported.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that the resignation of theses lawmakers will not damage the PML-N government.
The party has been in a lot of pressure as the opposing political parties, Pakistan Awami Tehreek(PAT), Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, have united and are demanding the resignation of Sanaullah over Model Town tragedy which had claimed the lives of 14 PAT activists in 2014.
