The Karachi Port handled 104,925 tonnes of cargo including 60,261 tonnes of import cargo, 44,664 tonnes of export cargo and 3,810 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 60,261 tonnes comprised of 33,666 tonnes of containerised cargo; 19,740 tonnes of bulk cargo: 2,740 tonnes of MOP; 17,000 tonnes of coal and 6,855 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 44,664 tonnes comprised of 11,008 tonnes of containerised cargo; 980 tonnes of general cargo; 13,577 tonnes of bulk cargo: 3,283 tonnes of cement; 6,939 tonnes of loose bulk cement; 3,355 tonnes of wheat and 19,099 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Four ships namely Nogogini, MT Quetta, MSC Jemima and Hanjin Beijiang with two oil tankers and two container ships sailed out to sea during the reported period. Seven vessels viz Jay Hope, India Express, YM South, Sorrelle, APL Chicago, Hadis and Bella carrying chemicals, two container ships, oil tanker and three container ships respectively are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Jay Hope, Hadis and Ocean Island carrying chemicals, containers and coal respectively expected to sail on Saturday, while six ships namely Bella, YM South, Netsanet, Calmy Coral, India Express and Invicta with two container ships, MOP, general cargo, containers and cement carrier are expected to sail on Sunday.
Three vessels viz HS Bruckner, Viona and Marvelotte carrying two container ships and general cargo respectively due to arrive on Saturday, while four vessels viz MOL Seabreeze, CSL Ride, APL Ruby and Rukia with three container ships and cement carrier respectively are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 78,213 tonnes of cargo includes 58,010 tonnes of import cargo, 20,203 tonnes of export cargo and 1,850 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours. The total import cargo of 58,010 tonnes includes 19,074 tonnes of furnace oil; 15,912 tonnes of canola seeds; 8,774 tonnes of phosphoric acid and 14,250 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 20,203 tonnes includes 2,232 tonnes of cement; 7,171 tonnes of rice and 10,800 tonnes of containerised cargo. A container ship namely CV Glory is expected to sail on Saturday.
A total number of seven vessels viz CV Glory, CV MSC Magali, MV Alaska-II, MV Four Nabucco, MV Mass Merit, MSC North Fighter and MT Mako are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, canola seeds, phosphoric acid and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Four ships namely Kaethe Rickmers, Al-Salam-II, Samho Cordelia and Tycoon carrying containers, diesel oil, chemicals and wheat respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. A container vessel viz CV Kaethe Rickmers expected to take berth at Container Terminal on Saturday. One container ship namely CV Maersk Carolina due to arrive on Saturday, while another container ship namely CV Antji Wulff is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Monday.
