Two matches were decided in 13th National Seniors Cricket Cup when Multan Veterans, Sheikhupura Lions earned full points on Friday. Multan Veteran overwhelmed Khanewal Veteran in South Punjab (Group-C), piling up 220-6 and allowed Khanewal Veterans only 165-8 in reply. The Central Punjab Group-H clash at Khayaban Amin, Muridke saw Sheikhupura coasted along to make 271-5 with Naseer Bhatti 136. Gujranwala Blues failed to attempt the big ask and were bundled out for 156.
Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA)'s Chief Executive Officer Ashiq Qureshi said that all group league matches will be limited to 25 overs per innings in the South Zone and 30 overs per innings in the North Zone or unless a side is dismissed, whichever is earlier. No bowler may bowl more than 5 overs in a 25 overs match, 6 overs in a 30 overs match.
