Prices moved both ways on the wholesales grain market on Thursday in process of modest trading, dealers said. On the cereal side wheat old Bardan new and wheat New Bardan new both types gained Rs 10 to Rs 2560-4575.
Gur low type was up by Rs 200 to Rs 5500 and best typed did not show any change at Rs 6500, other items maintained overnight levels in process of trading, they said.
On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag low type shed Rs 10 to Rs 1350 while the best type retained its overnight level at Rs 1400, they said. On the grams sector grams dal Australia shed Rs 100 to Rs 5800-6000, gram 50x50 followed the same pattern losing Rs 500 to Rs 5000-5200 and bajra lost Rs 50 to Rs 2500-2900, other items maintained overnight levels during the day, they said.
On the rice side Irri-6 Sindh low type picked up Rs 5 to Rs 3340 and good quality was inert at Rs 3400 due to balanced demand and supply, they said.
