Pakistan Day was celebrated with traditional zeal across Balochistan on Wednesday to commemorate the passage of Pakistan Resolution which later resulted the emergence of an independent country, Pakistan.
Various programmes and ceremonies were held at different places including Governor House, Quetta Cantt, Askari Park, Ayyub Stadium, Hana lake and others to commemorate the passage of Pakistan Resolution and to pay rich tributes to leadership and activists of Pakistan Movement who rendered sacrifices for creating an independent country.
The ceremonies related to the Pakistan Day were started with prayers for the development and bright future of the country and the nation. National flag was hoisted at important governmental installations and pubic points. A ceremony was held at Governor House Quetta, in which Governor Zulfiqar Ali Magsi recalled and paid rich tributes to people who played their significant role in the Pakistan Movement.
Special Shuhada Parade was held at Staff College Road Quetta Cantt in which rich tributes was paid to martyrs of the Pakistan Movement. Another ceremony was also organised at Musa Stadium Quetta Cantt in which different programmes were held including debate competition between school students, national songs and others.
