The 4-day Royal Palm Floodlit Cricket Tournament will get underway here at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club from Tuesday (today). As many as 16 cricket teams are participating in the tournament to played on knockout basis. Each team will be comprised of six players each. The qualifying rounds will be held on 1st and 2nd February.
Each innings will be of six overs and each bowler cannot bowl more than two overs which makes strategizing a real test for the captain. Ijaz Ahmed, a former cricketing great will be chief guest at the opening ceremony. The tournament will start each day at 6pm and the semi-finals and final will take place on Friday (February 4).
