Call to project country's soft image

Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly, Rana Mushood Ahmed Khan has urged the media to play their role in highlighting a soft image of the country. He said this while speaking at a reception held in honour of media-men, here at his official residence. Mushood said that Pakistan is a peace loving country and targeting it on the basis of designs of extremists is wrong.
He lauded the role being played by media for restoration of judiciary and democracy. He also said media is playing an important role in highlighting public issues as well as eradication of corruption. "We need to maintain our national image and render sacrifices for the country," he remarked. Among others, Sarmad Bashir, Shahzad Malik and Nasir Butt spoke on the occasion.
