HYDERABAD: The District and Session Judges of Hyderabad and Jamshoro districts have submitted their inquiry report in Sindh High Court about the state of facilities in Sindh University and death of a student.
A court official, who requested anonymity, told the APP here Wednesday that the report had been submitted in SHC Hyderabad Circuit Bench which had earlier assigned inquiry to the 2 judges. The official told that the judges recorded statements of at least 34 persons including vice chancellor of SU and other officials. The judges also visited the university's hostel to inspect the state of facilities.
The SHC would take up the report during the hearing of Naila Rind case, which was filed by a group of civil society activists pleading for judicial probe of Rind's death, next week. Rind's body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of her hostel room on January 1.
A police FIR was lodged in which an individual, Anis Khaskheli, was booked for allegedly harassing and blackmailing the student which prompted her to take her life.
