Kashmiri people living on both sides of Line of Control and across the world on Wednesday observed the Indian Republic Day as 'Black Day' on Wednesday to protest Indian occupation and apprise the international community of their responsibility regarding implementation of the United Nations resolutions on Kashmir which guarantee the right of self-determination.
The call for observing Black Day was given by All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), to press India to give the right of self-determination to Kashmiris. The APHC chapter of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan also organised protest rallies in various cities, which were participated by leadership of all parties.
Kashmiri leaders in their speeches called on the international community to take notice of continued brutalities on innocent Kashmiris and massive violations of human rights by the Indian forces in Indian occupied territory. "Kashmiris all over the world are observing Black Day to draw the attention of peace loving people of the world and United Nations. We hope that the international institutions will acknowledge our efforts and force India to come forward and face the established truth", APHC Convenor Mehmood Ahmed Saghar said.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) staged a peaceful demonstration in front of the United Nations Military Observers Groups at Islamabad and handed a memorandum for the UN Secretary General to implement its resolutions on the Kashmir issue and take notice of continuous human rights' violations by Indian security forces in occupied Kashmir.
